The show opened in spectacular fashion with a dazzling rendition of “One,” from A Chorus Line, performed by the Future Dreams performers. Presenters Gaby Roslin and John Partridge, along with guest presenter Arlene Phillips then introduced stars of stage and screen including X Factor winner Shayne Ward, Hannah Waddingham, Frances Ruffelle, Louise Dearman, Debbie Kurup, Zoe Birkett, the cast of Legally Blonde and stunning Britain’s Got Talent Finalists Escala. Other performances included De Vees, Daniel Boys, Stomp Tap, Cuba Libre, the Future Dreams Kids, WOMAN, guest presenter Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh introduced X Factor contestants The Reason 4. Bernie Nolan performed an emotional rendition of ‘How Could I Ever Know’ before speaking about her own brave battle with breast cancer. The show closed with a medley performed by the cast of Priscilla The Musical.

The audience was left in stitches when Best Comedy Actress award winner Miranda Hart took to the stage, followed by BAFTA award –winning comedian Simon Amstell. Jimmy Carr added to the comedy line-up, providing an amusing video message.

Video wall Mother’s Day messages were played from stars and celebrities including Cat Deeley, Honor Blackman, Tess Daly, Sarah Harding, Barbara Windsor, Nicola Roberts, Nicole Appleton, Tamzin Outhwaite, Arlene Phillips and Katie Price.
